The Missoula Senior Service Corps (MSSC) is an alliance of nearly 800 volunteers who are improving our community as Foster Grandparent, Senior Companion or RSVP volunteers. You will be pleased to learn that your volunteer choices are abundant. MSSC is the place to get involved whether you are looking for opportunities to provide intensive service in one area of need, or would enjoy short term projects.

Foster Grandparents age 60+ - Learn More
Foster Grandparents give their experience and talents to improve the lives of children in need. Foster Grandparents help children develop the skills, confidence, and strength to succeed in life. Foster Grandparents make their neighborhoods stronger by helping children achieve their goals.
  • Receive a tax-free stipend
  • Foster Grandparent volunteers provide special care, attention and academic guidance to children of all ages.
  • Volunteer an average of 20 hours per week
  • Choose from several ages of children
  • Enjoy working with children

Senior Companions age 60+ - Learn More
Senior Companions offer adults contact with the world outside their homes and make their lives less lonely. Senior Companions offer assistance to local seniors, helping them to live independently, while building a lasting friendship. Along the way, Senior Companions find out that few things feel as good as knowing you’re needed.
  • Receive a tax-free stipend
  • Help older adults to continue living at home without more expensive, less personal care.
  • Volunteer an average of 20 hours per week
  • All you need to know is how to be a friend
